Jay Wulf, one of the original founders of The Range Cafe and Standard Diner, has opened a new restaurant in his neighborhood of Cedar Crest: The Greenside Cafe .
Today (I know, short notice!) he is featuring some specially flown-in fresh oysters, and believe me, if I weren't in a business meeting this evening I would be ALL. OVER. THAT. Yum!
Here are the details - call for the latest scoop:
Thursday 4pm - Close
Salvation Cove Oysters $1.50 a piece
Chateau de la Ragotiere Muscadet, France $7.95 a glass
Pint of beer $3
Even if you can't go, check out Jay's blog where he speak of his travails remodeling the former video rental space, and his menu experiments in the realm of Cream-of-Wheat dunking sticks.

[this is good] Oyster summit is one of my raisons d'etre. And pairing it with muscadet- rad. I get so much crap about my muscadet pairing, even though it's soo standard, I'm always amazed that people don't know if it. And now that I'm reading it like 3 weeks late, how was it? I must say, oysters in NM (even if they're flown in) make me a little nervous. I usually save myself until I'm on a coast.
